However, these reports should not be taken as a sign that all women are eligible for female hormone therapy. Time and again, experts have issued warning against indiscriminate hormone treatment. You see, despite the many potential benefits of this form of treatment, it also has its share of potential risks.

Potential Risks Of Female Hormone Therapy

According to experts, women who are predisposed to breast cancer should be extra careful when it comes to getting hormone therapy. Studies show that female hormone treatment can increase the risk of breast cancer among the susceptible group. Women who have strong family history of breast cancer should talk to their doctors and explore other forms of treatments before they decide to undergo female hormone therapy. Moreover, women who have history of heart ailments and hypertension should think twice before undergoing this form of treatment. According to experts, female hormone therapy can have adverse effects on women who have pre-existing heart problems. In fact, many experts strongly suggest that women who have pre-existing ailments should not consider female hormone treatment at all.
